Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad is seeking a seasoned Network NSX AVI SME with 10-15 years of experience to lead and optimize our AVI Networks and VMware NSX environments. You will manage, monitor, and troubleshoot NSX-T and AVI components, implement security policies, and drive automation using Ansible and Python.

The role requires deep knowledge of ALB features, DFW, and cloud networking with AWS/Azure/GCP, plus strong TCP/IP and routing skills.

Qualifications

• Manage and maintain AVI Networks (NSX ALB) controllers and service engines.
• Perform daily checks, troubleshoot NSX-T and AVI issues.
• Upgrade and patch NSX and AVI components for security and stability.
• Respond to incidents and outages related to AVI and NSX.
• Implement configuration changes per change management processes.
• Configure ALB features: Virtual Services, Pools, Health Monitors, SSL offloading, GSLB.
• Deploy network security policies, micro-segmentation, and DFW in NSX-T.
• Use automation tools (Ansible, Python) for provisioning NSX/AVI resources.
• Identify performance bottlenecks in the application delivery path.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and switching.
• Proficient in AVI Networks and VMware NSX administration and features.
• Experience with NSX-T DFW, logical switching, routing.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and HTTP/S, DNS.
• Familiar with public cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP) related to NSX/AVI deployments.

• Deploy and operationalize network security policies, micro-segmentation, and Distributed Firewall rules within the VMware NSX-T environment.
• Utilize automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) for the provisioning and configuration of NSX and AVI resources.

• Strong operational experience with VMware NSX-T including logical switching, routing, and Distributed Firewall (DFW).
• Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and application protocols (HTTP/S, DNS).
• Familiarity with public cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP) as they relate to NSX and AVI deployments.

• The Operations Specialist – AVI & NSX is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's application delivery and network virtualization platforms, specifically AVI Networks (VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer) and VMware NSX.
