Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) is seeking a customer-facing Network Consultant for our Global Service Desk. You will provide advanced Level 2 support for premium enterprise networks in a 24/7 shift-based environment, owning incidents end-to-end from detection to resolution.

You will diagnose faults, perform root cause analysis, coordinate with internal and external teams, and ensure SLAs. Strong networking fundamentals and English communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Engineering graduate with networking background.
  • CCNA cert; CCNP a plus.
  • 1+ year in a Network Operations Centre or similar role.
  • Experience with routing protocols (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP/IS-IS) and LAN/WAN concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate diagnostics and perform proactive analysis for network faults and alarms.
  • Carry out root cause analysis to identify underlying network issues.
  • Support day-to-day network operations through fault and change management aligned to ITIL standards.
  • Take ownership of incidents throughout their lifecycle, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Coordinate with Level 2 engineers, internal resolver groups, vendors, and third parties for timely resolution.
  • Escalate incidents appropriately based on business impact and service criticality.
  • Provide regular, clear updates to customers during incidents and escalations, including bridge calls.
  • Manage multiple incidents simultaneously with queue management and prioritisation.
  • Adhere strictly to defined operational processes with zero deviations and missed escalations.

About This Role

We are seeking a customer-facing Network Consultant to join our Global Service Desk within Group Operations. This role focuses on providing advanced (Level 2) technical support to premium customers operating complex network solutions with stringent SLA requirements. Working in a 24/7 shift-based environment, the individual will play a key role in incident ownership, fault diagnosis, and service continuity across global enterprise networks.

What You’ll Do
  • Initiate diagnostics and perform proactive analysis for network faults and alarms
  • Carry out root cause analysis to identify and address underlying network issues
  • Support day-to-day network operations through fault and change management aligned to ITIL standards
  • Take ownership of incidents throughout their lifecycle, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs
  • Coordinate with Level 2 engineers, internal resolver groups, vendors, and third parties for timely resolution
  • Escalate incidents appropriately based on business impact and service criticality
  • Provide regular, clear updates to customers during incidents and escalations, including participation in bridge calls
  • Manage multiple incidents simultaneously, ensuring effective queue management and prioritisation
  • Adhere strictly to defined operational processes with a focus on zero process deviations and missed escalations
Who You Are
  • An engineering graduate (BE/BTech) with a solid technical background in networking.CCNA certified, with at least one year of experience in a Network Operations Centre or similar technical support role
  • Experienced in routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and IS‑IS, as well as LAN switching concepts including VLANs, trunking, and STP
  • Familiar with WAN technologies such as HDLC, PPP, ISDN, Frame Relay, and ATM, with hands‑on exposure preferred
  • Knowledge of MPLS fundamentals is advantageous, with CCNP considered an added benefit
  • A confident communicator with strong customer‑handling skills and fluent spoken and written English
  • Able to remain calm under pressure, multitask effectively, and apply a logical, methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • A collaborative team member who adapts quickly to changing situations and is motivated by continuous learning and growth
