Qualifications

• 7–10 years of hands-on enterprise networking experience.
• 5+ years with Fortinet FortiGate/FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer; Cisco and Aruba Networks.
• Strong knowledge of Aruba LAN and Aruba ClearPass.
• Experience with SD-WAN deployments and support.
• Scripting or automation experience (Python, Shell, Java).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, VPN.
• ITSM familiarity (ITIL) and multi-tenant MSP environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support customer-focused network projects from planning to discussions.
• Perform day-to-day network security work including upgrades and patching.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances.
• Conduct network assessments and provide improvement recommendations.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions for clients.
• Document configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for network and security issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance.
• Assist with firewall refreshes, upgrades, and onboarding tasks.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Managed Services team, focused on delivering high-quality network solutions and ongoing support for our clients. This role requires a strong technical foundation in enterprise networking, combined with a service-oriented mindset and a commitment to operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in executing network projects, maintaining and optimizing client environments, and contributing to the use of repeatable processes aligned with IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. A passion for structured operations and continuous improvement is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support customer-focused network projects, including technical planning, execution, and project-related discussions with customers.
• Perform day-to-day network security support, including upgrades, patching, and policy tuning, primarily in Fortinet environments, Aruba and Cisco environments.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances.
• Conduct network assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Document configurations, procedures, and build network diagrams.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated network and security issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance as needed.
• Available for after-hours escalations and change windows.
• Ability to multi-task, pivot quickly, and understand “sense of urgency.”
• Support network-related projects such as firewall refreshes, upgrades, and client onboarding activities.
• Assist with project implementation tasks, including configuration changes, testing, and post-change validation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years of hands-on experience with enterprise networking background.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer); Cisco and Aruba Networks.
• Strong experience with Aruba LAN and Aruba ClearPass technologies.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies, deployments and support
• Working knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, Shell scripting, and Java) is required
• Strong understanding of network security, segmentation, Zero Trust principles, firewall policies, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Strong experience in network device patching, firmware upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, VPN).
• Experience with firewall rule management, UTM features, and IPS/IDS.
• Familiarity with centralized management platforms and logging tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working in an MSP or multi-tenant environment is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Fortinet NSE 4/5/6/7 certifications are highly desirable; equivalent networking or security certifications (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, or cloud networking) are an asset.
• Experience with other security platforms (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, WatchGuard, Pfsense, Meraki) is an asset.
• Exposure to cloud networking and security concepts across Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of business and technology processes within enterprise IT environments.
• Proven experience managing and resolving technical escalations in customer-facing or enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and enterprise operational best practices.
• Proven experience contributing to process improvement and operational maturity.
• Excellent critical thinking and emotional intelligence skills.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure monitoring systems (e.g., LogicMonitor, SolarWinds).
• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.

Certifications

• Aruba ClearPass certification and Firewall certifications are highly desirable.
