Job summary

ADM India Hub is seeking an experienced Network, Cloud & Data Center Design Engineer to architect resilient infrastructure across on‑premises data centers, colocation facilities, and multi‑cloud platforms.

You’ll lead end‑to‑end design, collaborate with security for zero‑trust policies, and drive design documentation from LLD to HLD while ensuring scalable, secure systems with strong SLAs.

Qualifications

• MS in CS, EE, Network Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Hands-on experience with Spine-leaf/CLOS fabrics and BGP EVPN/VXLAN.
• Cloud networking across AWS, Azure, GCP with transit gateways and direct connects.
• Strong routing/switching knowledge: BGP/OSPF/IS-IS/MPLS/QoS.
• Security: Zero Trust, micro-segmentation, PCI/HIPAA/FedRAMP knowledge.
• IaC and automation tooling to provision networks in CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-scale data center networks (spine-leaf, fabric).
• Lead multi-cloud network architecture across AWS/Azure/GCP with VPCs and direct connects.
• Create LLD/HLD docs, rack elevations, cable plans, capacity models.
• Incorporate zero-trust and compliance controls into network designs.
• Evaluate vendors, run POCs, and manage tech refresh cycles.
• Coordinate with data center operations, facilities, and cloud teams for Day 2 ops.
• Define observability standards and testing including chaos testing.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Network, Cloud & Data Center Design Engineer to architect and deliver resilient, high-performance infrastructure that powers our global operations. You will lead the end-to-end design of physical and virtual network environments — spanning on-premises data centers, colocation facilities, and multi-cloud platforms — ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and built to meet demanding SLAs.

What You'll Do:

• Design and architect enterprise-grade data center networks including spine-leaf topologies, fabric interconnects, and WAN/SD-WAN overlays.
• Lead cloud network architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP — including VPCs, transit gateways, direct connects, and cloud-native routing.
• Develop low-level design (LLD) and high-level design (HLD) documentation, rack elevations, cable plans, and capacity models.
• Collaborate with security teams to embed zero-trust principles, micro segmentation, and compliance controls into network designs.
• Evaluate and select network hardware and software vendors, driving proof-of-concept testing and technology refresh cycles.
• Partner with data center operations, facilities, and cloud engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment and Day 2 operations.
• Define network observability standards, traffic engineering policies, and failure-mode testing (chaos engineering, DR drills).

Must-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience designing modern spine-leaf or CLOS fabrics using BGP EVPN/VXLAN for large-scale Layer 2/3 overlay networks in enterprise or hyperscale environments.
• Proficiency architecting connectivity across at least two major cloud providers — including transit gateway, VPC peering, private endpoints, direct connect / ExpressRoute, and cloud-native firewalling.
• Routing & Switching Protocols
• Deep expertise in BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and QoS. Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex routing policies and traffic engineering across multi- vendor environments.
• Network Security & Zero Trust
• Strong understanding of micro segmentation, firewall policy design, TLS/SSL inspection, SASE frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or FedRAMP.
• Infrastructure-as-Code & Automation
• Practical experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tooling to automate network provisioning, configuration management, and change workflows in CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with SD-WAN platforms (Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud, Palo Alto Prisma) and cloud-delivered security services that converge network and security in a unified fabric.
• Network Programmability (Python / Go)
• Ability to develop custom automation scripts, NETCONF/YANG integrations, or REST API tooling that extends vendor platforms and accelerates operational workflows.
• Data Center Physical & Power Design
• Working knowledge of power distribution, cooling design (hot/cold aisle, liquid cooling), cable management best practices, and data center standards such as TIA- 942 or Uptime Institute Tier ratings.
• Network Observability & AIOps
• Experience with streaming telemetry, Grafana/Prometheus stacks, Kentik, Thousand Eyes, or similar tools to build proactive monitoring, anomaly detection, and capacity-planning dashboards.
• Industry Certifications
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE (R&S, DC, or SP), AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer add significant value.

Additional Requirements:

• Travel: Occasional travel to data center or colocation sites for design reviews and commissioning.
• Clearance : Ability to pass background screening; active clearance a plus for government or regulated verticals.
• Certs (preferred):CCIE (R&S, DC, or SP), AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer, or GCP Professional Cloud Network Engineer.
