Job summary

Microland Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Network Architect to design scalable, secure enterprise networks and lead a team of architects. You will drive adoption of Cisco SD-WAN, LAN & Wireless, DNAC, ISE, and firewalls, while ensuring policy compliance and strong vendor collaboration.

You will mentor staff, work with security, operations, and applications teams, and maintain thorough network documentation. A CCIE and 15+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
• CCIE or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the organization's overall network architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Define and enforce network standards, policies, and procedures.
• Lead a team of network architects, providing mentorship and fostering collaboration.
• Collaborate with security, operations, and applications to align network strategies with business goals.
• Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and evaluate their applicability.
• Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as Cisco SD-WAN, LAN & Wireless, DNAC, ISE, Firewalls, Zscaler, and Juniper/MIST.
• Develop and implement network security strategies and ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Act as senior technical resource for complex network issues and guide teams.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve critical network incidents.
• Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future needs and optimize performance.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions for capacity.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs and changes.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.

• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet capacity needs.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in network architecture and design.
• Industry certifications such as CCIE or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco LAN & Wireless, Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, Cisco Firewalls, Juniper MIST Switches/Access points, Zscaler, Palo Alto Firewalls, security best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge in Voice technologies (AudioCodes), Network Visibility (Gigamon, ORDR)
• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, complex enterprise networks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
