Primary Title: Consultant Nephrologist

Industry & Sector: Opportunity within the healthcare sector—tertiary‑care hospital and specialty renal medicine services delivering inpatient, outpatient and dialysis care across the Assam region. We provide comprehensive nephrology services including CKD clinics, acute kidney injury management, dialysis (hemodialysis & peritoneal dialysis) and procedural nephrology.

Location & Workplace: Dibrugarh, Assam, India — On‑site (Full‑time).

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Consultant Nephrologist (DM / DrNB) to join a growing renal team at our Dibrugarh facility. The ideal candidate will deliver high‑quality clinical care across outpatient, inpatient and dialysis settings, contribute to unit leadership, and support training and quality improvement initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Provide expert outpatient and inpatient nephrology care: diagnose and manage CKD, AKI, glomerular diseases, electrolyte disorders and hypertension.
  • Lead and supervise dialysis services—oversee hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis delivery, manage vascular access issues, and optimise dialysis protocols.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including ultrasound‑guided renal biopsy and other nephrology procedures with appropriate documentation and consent.
  • Respond to on‑call emergencies and coordinate ICU/CRRT support in collaboration with critical‑care teams.
  • Mentor junior doctors, nurses and allied staff; implement clinical protocols, infection‑control and quality improvement initiatives for the renal unit.
  • Participate in clinical audits, morbidity & mortality reviews, and periodic CPD/teaching activities to maintain high standards of care.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Must‑Have
    • DM or DrNB in Nephrology (recognized Indian qualification).
    • Registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or relevant State Medical Council and eligible to practise in India.
    • Hands‑on experience managing hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis and performing renal biopsies; comfortable with AKI and ICU dialysis scenarios.
  • Preferred
    • 1–5 years clinical experience as a consultant or senior registrar in nephrology or exposure to dialysis unit leadership.
    • Experience in transplant nephrology, CRRT, or unit administration; prior teaching or academic involvement is an advantage.
