Job summary

Miratech is seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator to join our cloud operations team. You will design, implement, and maintain mission-critical MySQL databases with focus on performance, availability, and automation.

Work closely with Operations and Development to modernize databases for cloud-based environments. You will configure replication, monitor performance indicators, and develop automation scripts in Python or Bash.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall professional experience, including 3+ years of hands-on MySQL administration.
• Experience with cloud databases (GCP or AWS).
• Strong understanding of MySQL implementation, performance tuning, and replication (master-master).
• Proficiency with MySQL administration tools and monitoring performance indicators (IO, CPU, queries).
• Experience writing SQL queries for reporting and analytics.

• Perform performance tuning, backup/recovery, and proactive monitoring.

Job Description

We are looking for an experiencedMySQL Database Administratorto join our growing cloud operations organization. In this role, you will work closely with Operations and Development teams to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical, scalable databases. You will be responsible for database performance, availability, and automation, while also supporting modernization efforts into cloud-based database environments.

• Experience writing SQL queries, including for reporting and analytics.
• Solid knowledge ofLinuxfor database administration.
• Scripting skills inPython (preferred), Shell, or Bash.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to have:

• Data warehouse experience (e.g., Google BigQuery).
• Familiarity with automation tools for database provisioning and monitoring.
