Astreya is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to lead and mentor teams across cloud-based infrastructure and analytics platforms. The role focuses on automation, scalability, and reliable operation of multi-OS virtualized environments in a large enterprise setting.

You will design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with data teams, and drive improvements in monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience.
• Expert level knowledge in managing Azure Cloud as a primary requirement, with GCP as a secondary requirement.
• Expert level experience with automation on Azure cloud services, AD, using IaC, PowerShell and Python.
• Experience with CI/CD, microservices, deployments, and GitHub.

**What this Job Entails:** The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for development, management and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure and applications. Working across teams in a collaborative (DevOps) formation, Engineer will be responsible for team mentorship, technology advances and direction, while also supporting project managers and various business towers as a consultant and subject matter expert for the end-point compute environment. **Scope:*** Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways* Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors **Your Roles and Responsibilities:*** Lead and mentor other DevOps Engineers and cross functional teams* Work with data analysts, product owners and data scientists, to better understand requirements, finding bottlenecks and resolutions* Build batch/real time analytical solutions leveraging transformational technologies* Provide technical engineering working on various technologies* Design and implement solutions to improve existing support processes and tools* Support our development and management infrastructure and integrate all systems to work as one* Write automation code and build tools for provisioning and operating our Development infrastructure on multi OS virtualized environments* Improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance of Cloud and Hadoop Infrastructure* Preparing root cause analysis for network and server outages* Introduce innovations, track and follow up on planning and execution of quality initiatives* Document and follow defined RMA processes and procedures for all relevant vendors* Triage all incoming requests through the ticketing systems and apply first attempt troubleshooting steps (escalate trouble tickets when required)* Record, track, and document the tasks request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.* Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all responsibilities assigned to this position **Required Qualifications/Skills:*** Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 8+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience* Expert level knowledge in managing Azure Cloud as a primary requirement, with GCP as a secondary requirement.* Expert level experience on automation on Azure cloud services, AD, using IAC, Powershell and Python.* Experience on using DevOps services on CI/CD, Microservices, deployments, Github.* Architect or design level experience* Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions* Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise* Strong background in various coding administration and scripting languages* Demonstrated experience with big data infrastructure* Good communication skills and works well in a team environment and with stakeholders* Experience in building various programs* Familiarity with tools for monitoring and system alerting* Managing multiple products/release cadences with source control branching strategies* Software Development experience* Experience with open-source tools and technologies in large distributed systems* Experience building and developing scalable, resilient, always-on data lake* Ability to grasp new technologies quickly and multitask on multiple responsibilities* Excellent information and data analysis skills **Physical Demand & Work Environment:*** Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing* Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment* Must be able to use a computer* Must have the ability to communicate effectively* Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
