Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Bangalore is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in MS SQL DBA and MySQL administration. The role requires 2–4 years of DBA experience with 1.7+ years in relevant areas, and a hybrid work model is offered.

You will manage MS SQL Server architectures, perform backups, apply patches, and ensure high availability. You will also administer MySQL servers, perform upgrades and migrations, and optimize performance.

Responsibilities

• MS SQL Server DBA: manage architecture, production databases and HA/DR.
• Perform hot and cold backups and restoration; patching, upgrades and migrations.
• Experience with Always On Availability Groups; tune performance and capacity.
• T-SQL development; troubleshoot and maintain production databases.
• MySQL administration: install, configure and maintain MySQL servers.
• Work with MySQL 5.x and 8.x; InnoDB/MyISAM storage engines; upgrades and migrations.
• Performance tuning, query optimization; backups with MySQL Enterprise Backup.
• Manage replication, high availability configurations; disaster recovery planning.
• Familiar with MySQL Enterprise Monitoring, Workbench; manage MySQL in Azure cloud environments.

• Strong understanding of MS SQL Server architecture
