Job summary

OktoBuzz in Mumbai (Andheri East) is seeking a Motion Graphic Designer to craft compelling visual stories. You will concept, design, and animate motion graphics, typography, and titles that support the narrative across social and broadcast formats.

You will cut and grade footage, ensure pacing and sound align with the story, and build storyboards to win client approval before production. 1–3 years’ experience preferred, with strong After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop skills.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in graphic design field.
• Strong command of motion graphics tools and workflows.
• Graduate with multimedia certification or diploma.

Responsibilities

• Take a brief and define a visual direction beyond a simple deliverable.
• Cut and grade footage from shoots; craft pacing, sound, and edit

• Make platform-native work for Reel, LinkedIn, and Meta ads with distinct thinking.
• Build storyboards and animatics to sell ideas before shooting.
• Collaborate with account management and the creative team, and push back when needed.
• Manage multiple projects under real deadlines with quality across all work.

What You'll Do

• Take a brief — sometimes sharp, sometimes rough — and come back with a visual direction, not just a deliverable.
• Cut and grade footage from our own shoots. A real part of this role is edit craft: pacing, sound, restraint, knowing what to leave out.
• Design and animate motion graphics, typography and titles that serve the story rather than decorate it.
• Make platform-native work. A Reel, a LinkedIn cut-down and a Meta ad are three different pieces of thinking, not three export presets.
• Build storyboards and animatics to sell an idea internally and to clients before we spend a day shooting it.
• Work directly with account management and the wider creative team — including pushing back when a brief won't produce good work.
• Hold quality across several projects at once, on real deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Taste, with reasons behind it. We'd rather see four visually different pieces that are all genuinely good than five that share one look. We'll ask why you made specific choices — the answer matters more than the choice.

Range across brands. Branded content means serving someone else's voice. We want instincts strong enough to have an opinion, and flexible enough not to make every client look like you.

A reference library, not a feed habit. You should be able to tell us who you steal from and what you saved last week.

Proactive thinking. If a brief has a hole in it, flag it before you open After Effects rather than building around it.

Craft in the edit and in motion. Strong on After Effects and Premiere Pro. Comfortable in Photoshop and Illustrator. DaVinci is a plus.

AI in your workflow, honestly used. We use tools like Firefly, Runway, Kling, Midjourney and LLMs for ideation, voiceover, subtitling and speeding up the grunt work. We're less interested in whether you've tried them than in whether you've made something faster or better because of them — including where they didn't work.

Work Experience

1-3 years experience in the field of graphic designing

Skills Required

• Strong exposure in visualizing and creating original designs.
• Core knowledge of After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator (3DMax, Blender will be added advantage).

Qualifications

A graduate in any field with a certification course in multimedia from any institute.
