Job summary

iVentureTeam is seeking an experienced mobile developer to build cross-platform apps in React Native and Flutter that interface with ERP backends. The role emphasizes offline-first sync design, device-capable features, and end-to-end release processes for Android and iOS.

You will work closely with backend and Odoo/ERPNext integrations, ensuring apps run smoothly even on low-end devices and in offline scenarios. A strong grasp of TypeScript or Dart and REST APIs is essential.

Job description

You will build the mobile apps that sit on top of client ERPs: field service jobs, van sales, delivery and proof-of-delivery, warehouse scanning, executive dashboards. These are used by people in warehouses, trucks and basements - offline-first is a requirement, not a feature request.

About the team

Mobile work sits inside Engineering alongside the Odoo team, so the person building the API and the person consuming it are one Slack message apart. We use both React Native and Flutter deliberately and pick per project rather than per preference.

What you'll do

• Build production cross-platform apps in React Native and Flutter against Odoo/ERPNext backends.
• Design offline-first sync: local persistence, conflict resolution, queued mutations, and honest UI about sync state.
• Integrate device capabilities - barcode scanning, camera, GPS, background location, push notifications, biometrics.
• Own release engineering: signing, CI builds, App Store and Play Store submission, staged rollout and crash triage.
• Work with the Odoo developers to shape the APIs you consume rather than working around them.
• Keep apps fast and small on the low-end Android devices field teams actually carry.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of cross-platform mobile development with apps live in both stores.
• Real depth in at least one of React Native or Flutter, and working competence in the other (or clear evidence you'll get there fast).
• You have built and debugged an offline-first sync layer, and can explain the conflict cases you got wrong first time.
• Solid TypeScript or Dart, plus REST API integration experience.
• You've shipped through store review, including a rejection you had to fix.
• Enough native Android/iOS knowledge to read a stack trace and bridge a module when needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP-backed mobile apps - field service, van sales, WMS.
• Odoo mobile or XML-RPC/JSON-RPC integration experience.
• Fastlane or another automated release pipeline.
• Accessibility and low-bandwidth optimisation experience.
