Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of native Android development experience.
• Expert in Android architecture and design patterns.
• Proficient in Kotlin or Java for customer-facing Android apps.
• Strong knowledge of Android frameworks, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs to connect Android apps to back-end services.
• Exceptional OO design and development skills.
• Understanding of HTTP/REST and mobile databases.
• Proven track record of high productivity in development, architecture and debugging.
• Knowledge of security best practices for mobile apps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in an appropriate engineering field is required.
• 5+ years experience with professional native Android app development.
• Expert in Android architecture and mobile application design patterns.
• Experienced in developing customer-facing, commercial Android applications using Kotlin or Java.
• Deep understanding of Android frameworks and components, along with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Knowledgeable in consuming RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Exceptional Object-Oriented (OO) design and development skills.
• Experience with HTTP and RESTful web services.
• Fundamental understanding of the HTTP protocol, REST, and mobile databases.
• A proven track record of high productivity in application development, architecture, design, coding, and debugging.
• Understand mobile performance, latency, and security issues with experience using performance analysis tools.
• Knowledgeable of security best practices for mobile application development and integration.
• In-depth knowledge of current technological trends, developments, and best practices in mobile technologies, information security, and wireless network architecture.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
