Job summary

Purview Services in India (Kolkata region) is seeking an experienced Mobile QA Automation Engineer to design and implement automated test scripts for Android and iOS, build robust automation frameworks, and execute comprehensive testing across devices and configurations.

You will integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines, perform API testing, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and continually enhance test coverage and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in mobile app testing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications.
• Create and maintain automation frameworks for mobile application testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate test cases using tools such as Appium, Selenium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Execute tests across multiple devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and configurations.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects using Jira or similar platforms.
• Analyze test failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Develop reusable test scripts, utilities, and automation components.
• Validate mobile application functionality, usability, compatibility, and reliability.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured.
• Conduct device/browser compatibility and network-condition testing.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and business teams.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, test-case reviews, and release validation.
• Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and quality metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in mobile application testing and automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Appium and mobile automation frameworks.
• Experience testing both Android and iOS applications preferred.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or another automation programming language.
• Good understanding of Selenium/WebDriver concepts.
• Experience with Android Studio, Xcode, ADB, simulators, and real-device testing.
• Knowledge of API testing and REST services.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
