Job summary

UST is seeking an innovative AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and ML solutions in a hybrid/onsite setup in Bengaluru. The role emphasizes hands-on Generative AI, LLMs, cloud AI services, and scalable business solutions for healthcare.

The candidate will work across AI/ML design, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and API/microservice development while ensuring security and Responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

Strong Python programming required.
Hands-on ML/DL with Generative AI.
Experience with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI/AWS Bedrock or similar platforms.
Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents.
Experience with TF, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS, Azure AI Search).
Understanding of REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
Knowledge of MLOps concepts and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
Develop and optimize AI apps using LLMs, NLP and ML techniques.
Build AI-powered chatbots, assistants, recommendations, and intelligent automation.
Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector DB integrations.
Develop and maintain APIs and microservices for AI apps.
Collaborate with stakeholders, data scientists, and engineering teams.
Monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance, accuracy, and scalability.
Ensure AI solutions adhere to security, compliance and Responsible AI practices.
Participate in model deployment and MLOps activities.
