Job summary

M&G India is seeking a Delivery Manager - Model Development to coordinate model development activities across a complex portfolio of change within the Model Implementation & Support team. The role requires strong delivery management, turning scope into clear plans, and coordinating stakeholders across teams to maintain momentum.

Key duties include planning, risk management, and ensuring alignment across workstreams while keeping governance forums updated with clear actions and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collate and shape model development scope, ensuring alignment with business priorities and change control process
• Coordinate input to assess effort, dependencies and delivery options
• Support funding and resource allocation with budget holders
• Develop and maintain clear delivery plans with owners, milestones and progress tracking
• Drive disciplined execution via resource planning, RAID management and regular check-ins
• Ensure delivery across workstreams remains aligned and issues are surfaced early
• Provide regular progress updates with issue flagging, escalation routes and actions
• Track costs against funding and highlight risks or pressures
• Maintain RAID logs for timely resolution
• Prepare materials for governance forums, track actions and follow-up
• Engage with internal review teams and external audit when required
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders on progress, risks and dependencies
• Coordinate delivery across related model development initiatives for joined-up implementation

Delivery Manager - Model Development

Working within the Model Implementation & Support team, part of the Actuarial Modelling & Valuations function in M&G Finance , this role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of model development activity across a complex portfolio of change. The role requires strong delivery management experience , with the ability to turn agreed scope into clear plans, coordinate stakeholders across teams, and maintain momentum through effective tracking, issue management and communication.

What you'll do

Scope & prioritisation

• Collate and shape model development scope, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives, and that changes to agreed scope are assessed and agreed through a change control process
• Coordinate input to assess effort, dependencies and delivery options
• Support agreement of funding and resource allocation with relevant budget holders

Delivery planning & execution

• Develop and maintain clear delivery plans with named owners, milestones, dependencies and progress tracking
• Drive disciplined execution through effective resource planning, RAID management and regular check-ins with delivery owners
• Ensure delivery activity remains aligned across workstreams and that emerging issues are surfaced early

Progress & risk management

• Provide regular progress updates, including clear issue flagging, escalation routes and recommended actions
• Track costs against agreed funding and highlight any emerging risks or pressures
• Maintain RAID logs, supporting timely resolution

Governance & stakeholder communication

• Prepare materials for key meetings and governance forums, track actions and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Support engagement with internal review teams and external audit where required
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders on progress, risks, dependencies and actions needed to keep delivery on track

Cross-initiative coordination

• Coordinate delivery across related model development initiatives to support joined-up implementation and effective handover into valuation and reporting processes
