Qualifications

• MD/DNB Microbiology or equivalent per applicable medical college/NMC norms.
• Strong teaching and presentation abilities with clinical microbiology focus.
• Experience guiding MBBS and postgraduate researchers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Microbiology.
• Deliver lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, and demonstrations.
• Guide and mentor MBBS and postgraduate students in academic and research activities.
• Participate in departmental academic activities, seminars, workshops, and examinations.
• Supervise laboratory investigations and ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols.
• Support research activities, publications, and academic projects within the department.
• Participate in clinical microbiology services and provide inputs for diagnosis and infection management.
• Collaborate with clinical departments for infection control and antimicrobial stewardship activities.
• Maintain academic records, student assessments, and departmental documentation.
• Participate in university examinations and other institutional academic responsibilities.
• Contribute to the development of the department and maintain compliance with applicable medical education standards.
