Job summary

Birlasoft in Pune seeks a MES OpCenter Operations & Support Consultant with 5+ years of experience. You will provide day-to-day production support for Siemens Opcenter MES, diagnose issues, and ensure smooth operations across IT/OT landscapes.

Responsibilities include issue resolution, deployments, and documentation, with collaboration across ERP, PLC, and shop-floor teams. Strong communication with plant stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in MES production support, with Siemens Opcenter MES.
• Hands-on experience with Opcenter EXDS/Camstar MES.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting for enterprise apps.
• C#/.NET, REACT, Mendix proficiency.
• Experience with Opcenter log analysis and RCA.
• Windows Server and IIS administration basics.
• Experience in manufacturing environments and shop-floor coordination.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem and change management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement on the plant floor.

• Resolve issues related to stations, workflows, serial tracking, and product processing.
• Troubleshoot integration with ERP, PLC, automation systems, and databases.
• Monitor system health and address issues before production impact.
• Collaborate with Development to escalate and resolve defects, incl. RCAs.
• Support deployments, patches, and config changes in DEV/QA/Prod.
• Maintain incident records and knowledge-base articles.
• Participate in onboarding/workshops to build client process knowledge.
• Engage in on-call support and critical production incident management.

MES OpCenter Operational & Support Consultant : Exp Level 5+ Years

Seeking a client-facing Siemens Opcenter Operational & support consultant to support industrial organizations production operations through Discrete Manufacturing Execution System (MES) , connected IT/OT architectures providing day-to-day production support for the Siemens Opcenter MES. For the MES Operation & support role, candidate should have sound domain knowledge of Opcenter modules, Integration with PLC , SCADA, SAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 production support for the MES (Siemens Opcenter), diagnosing and resolving application issues raised by plant users.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues related to stations, workflows, serial tracking, and product processing.
• Troubleshoot integration issues with ERP, PLC, automation systems, databases, and third-party applications.
• Monitor system health and proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact production.
• Collaborate with Development and Integration to escal and resolve defects, including root-cause analysis.
• Support deployments, patches, and configuration changes into DEV, QA, and Production environments.
• Maintain support documentation, knowledge-base articles, and incident records.
• Participate in onboarding/onsite workshops to build client-specific process knowledge as the team ramps up.
• Participate in on-call support and critical production incident management.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in application or MES production support, with Siemens Opcenter MES platform.
• Siemens Opcenter EXDS / Camstar MES hands on experiance.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting techniques for enterprise/industrial applications.
• C#/.NET, REACT, Mendix working knowledge.
• Working experience on Opcenter Log analysis and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Windows Server and IIS administration basics.
• Experience supporting manufacturing environments and coordinating with shop-floor teams.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with plant stakeholders.
