Job description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive MERN Stack Developer (2 to 3 years experience) to join our growing software development team. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience building real-world web applications and is confident working across both frontend and backend.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance web solutions and contribute actively to code quality, architecture decisions, and development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus) with databases and third-party services.
• Work independently on feature development and take ownership of assigned modules.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and optimized code following industry best practices.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across frontend and backend.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Conduct and contribute to code reviews, ensuring high code quality and adherence to standards.
• Assist in improving development workflows, CI/CD processes, documentation, and project structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2 to 3 years of professional experience as a MERN Stack Developer or in a similar full-stack role.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, React.js, and modern frontend development practices.
• Solid backend experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB (or other NoSQL/SQL databases).
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API practices.
• Experience using Git/GitHub and working in a collaborative development environment.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker, AWS/Azure, or deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Next.js, or microservices architecture.
• Experience with performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
