Job summary

Mississippi Consultants Pune is seeking a software engineer to develop robust applications using JavaScript, Node.js and Express. The role requires strong front-end skills (HTML5/CSS3) and PL/SQL, with a focus on scalable design.

You will implement unit tests, document requirements, and work within an Agile team to support release processes, using Git for source control. Experience with RESTful or SOAP services is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in software engineering.
• Strong JavaScript and Node.js skills.
• Experience with Express or similar frameworks.

Role & responsibilities

Experience:

• Proven work experience in software engineering
• Proficient with JavaScript
• Experience in Node.js and frameworks available for it (such as Express, Hapi, etc. depending on your technology stack)
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, such as HTML5 and CSS3
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Implementing unit tests

• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Familiarity with agile software development methodology and release processes.
• Familiarity with source control such as Git.
