Job summary

Kalpakaaru Projects requires an experienced MEP Drafter to prepare and update 2D drawings for interior finishing projects, ensuring precise coordination with architectural and interior layouts. You will translate site measurements into detailed AutoCAD drawings and manage revisions for timely execution.

Role demands strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire-fighting drawings, with the ability to read related architectural documents and reflect actual site conditions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) is essential for creating accurate MEP drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings for coordination purposes.
• Strong understanding of MEP drawing conventions and symbols.
• Knowledge of applicable MEP codes/standards and site execution practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dimensioning and drawing documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and meet project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update MEP working drawings and as-built shop drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire-fighting services on finishing projects & Interior Projects.
• Convert site measurements from MEP Engineers/Consultants into detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, interior and structural layouts to identify and resolve clashes between services.
• Prepare service layout drawings, routing diagrams, riser diagrams and sections as required for execution.
• Incorporate site measurements, snag points and change requests into drawings and maintain accurate revision control.
• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and BOQ-supporting drawings for MEP works.
• Liaise with site engineers, project coordinators and vendors to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.
• Maintain organised drawing records as built as per project documentation standards.
• Support timely drawing turnaround to avoid delays in project execution timelines.

Role Purpose
