Job summary

Everpure is seeking a Member of Technical Staff in Backend Engineering (Go, Kubernetes) to join Portworx Enterprise. You will contribute clean, robust Go code for Portworx products, prioritize quality, and be customer-oriented while working from our Bangalore office.

You will design and develop cloud-native microservices, participate in CI/CD, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive production-ready solutions while exploring new technologies to push the state of the art.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience designing, developing and testing Enterprise product components using Go.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native platforms.
• Experience designing testable, production-grade microservices and deploying to cloud environments.
• Ability to lead design and development in a collaborative team setting.
• Excellent debugging skills for large-scale cloud deployments.

THE ROLE

You will join the Portworx team in Everpure, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality Portworx Enterprise products. You will be contributing clean & robust code, be customer oriented and put quality first.A

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Designing and developing cloud native microservices and integrating new features to Portworx products
• Bringing a focus on design, development, unit/functional testing, code reviews, documentation, continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Debug product and performance issues in large scale clusters using AI tooling
• Collaborating with peers and stake-holders to take solutions from initial design to production
• Take full ownership of design and development activity by adapting to customer feedback and handling issues found in unit testing, system testing and customer deployments
• Experimenting with new technologies in order to push the state-of-the-art and innovate new solutions.
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in designing, developing and testing various Enterprise products components using Go
• Good understanding of Microservices Architecture, and Cloud Native platforms
• Experience designing and implementing high quality, testable, maintainable, optimal, production grade microservices and more often promote it to production environment hosted in cloud by applying knowledge and experience around cloud infrastructure, deployments and continuous integration
• Designing and owning micro services to operate and scale in a distributed system architecture
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) from product management to customer beta partners in designing highly scalable and production quality software
• Proven design sensibility and the willingness to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment
• Expert debugging skills and ability to navigate through ambiguous problems at scale in public/private cloud environments.
• Capability to technically lead the team on the design, code efficiency and functional quality
• Must be willing and able to work in an open office environment.
• Solid CS background in data structures, algorithms and software design

WHAT CAN GIVE YOU A HEAD START

• Hands-on experience in KubeVirt, OpenShift, VMware APIs, and virtualization technologies.
• Deep understanding of containerized workloads, virtual machine orchestration, and integration between cloud-native and traditional virtualization environments.
• Knowledge and working experience in Kubernetes and Containers
