Job summary

Meesho Bangalore (Karnataka) is seeking a Business Finance Manager to guide financial planning, budgeting, and decision support across business units. The role involves partnering with operations and technology teams, driving AOPs, and delivering insights to management for strategic deals.

The candidate should have 4–6 years as a Chartered Accountant or a Masters in Financial Management, with at least 3+ years in Business Finance and strong analytical and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with specific business units and actively participate in their operations.
• Provide insights from the finance side to various business units.
• Own OKRs of the respective business units and build an AOP to achieve them.
• Develop financial plans with business and technology teams using a bottom-up approach.
• Review plans vs. actuals regularly and explain variances to enable planning.
• Track and measure key financial and business metrics for the businesses.
• Oversee month-end closing reviews, procedures, and corrections.
• Direct and oversee revenue cycle policies and initiatives to optimise operations.
• Lead scenario analyses and present business plans for product enhancements or initiatives.
• Handle ad hoc requests with quick turnaround and provide analysis to support decisions.
• Drive standardisation and automation projects for efficiency.
• Conduct periodic meetings with direct reports.

As Business Finance Manager, you will tell us how and where to spend our money.

Plus, you will also manage business development activities according to a financial plan. You will modify financial plans and budget amounts based on the changes in business plans. You will also provide financial support and advice to management in closing business deals.

What you will do :

• – Work closely with specific business units and actively participate in their operations
• – Provide various business units insights from the finance side
• – Jointly own the OKRs of the respective business units and build an AOP to achieve them
• – Develop financial plans along with various business and technology teams with a bottom-up approach
• – Review the plans vs. actuals on a regular basis
• – Do an in-depth analysis of variance and communicate the same to create visibility and enable planning of actionable
• – Track and measure key financial and business metrics for respective businesses.
• – Complete account-level month-end closing reviews, procedures, and corrections as needed
• – Direct and oversee the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of the revenue cycle activities to optimise operations
• – Do a scenario analysis and develop business plans on product enhancement or business initiatives and present them to top management
• – Handle ad hoc requests and problem-solving with a short turnaround time
• – Supplement ad hoc requests with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making
• – Participate and drive standardisation automation projects for process efficiency
• – Conduct periodic meetings with direct reports

What you will need :

• – 4 to 6 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant or a Masters degree in Financial Management
• – Should have 3+ years of experience in Business Finance
• – Strong analytical rigour and problem-solving skills

• – Proven ability form strong collaborations with stakeholders
