Job summary

RRD is seeking professionals in Chennai for the role of Medical Underwriter / Medical Records Summarizer. You will analyze complex medical charts and deliver high-accuracy summaries for US Life Insurance clients, operating in a hybrid model after an initial 3 months in-office.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, summarizing disease conditions and reports, and ensuring quality within tight turnaround times, collaborating with QA and operations teams to resolve ambiguous documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post Graduate in Life Sciences, BPT (Physiotherapy), BHMS, BAMS, or B.Pharm / M.Pharm.
• 1 to 8 years of relevant experience in Medical Records Summarization, Medical Underwriting, APS Summarization, or clinical data abstraction.
• Deep understanding of human anatomy, clinical terminologies, pharmacology, pathology, and chronic/acute health conditions.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and web-based summarization/chart-review platforms.
• Strong analytical acumen, sharp attention to detail, proactive work ethic, and clear written/verbal communication skills.

• Identify, interpret, and summarize complex disease conditions, diagnostic reports, treatment plans, and medical terminologies.
