Achievers Spot is hiring a Medical Coder in Tamil Nadu to review and code patient records in line with regulatory standards.

The role welcomes fresh graduates with excellent English communication and knowledge of medical terminologies; responsibilities include case assignment, client follow-ups, and ensuring timely reviews in accordance with URAC and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any field; fresh graduates welcome.
• Excellent English communication skills mandatory.
• Background in life science, paramedical, medical graduates/postgraduates preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminologies required.
• Good written and verbal communication overall.

Responsibilities

• Identify cases eligible for medical reviews and assign to reviewers.
• Contact client for problems identified in cases for review.
• Adhere to URAC, jurisdictional, and MediCall best practice UM time-frames as appropriate.
• Adhere to federal, state, URAC, client mandates for timelines as appropriate.
• Develop a complete understanding of the medical management procedures.
• Perform medical review assessment of utilization of health services in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
• Provide succinct negotiable points based on submitted records identifying necessary medical treatment or related issues.
• Identify missing records and information necessary for completion of the medical review assessment.

Medical Coder

Medical Coding is one of the fastest‑growing professions in the healthcare industry today. It is a niche specialization and the demand for trained and certified medical coders is increasing exponentially and is bound to increase in upcoming years, especially in India.

Responsibilities

• Identify cases eligible for medical reviews and assign them to appropriate reviewers.
• Reach out to the client for any problems identified in the cases for review.
• Adhere to Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC), jurisdictional, and/or established MediCall best practice UM time‑frames as appropriate.
• Adhere to federal, state, URAC, client, and established MediCall best practice WCUM time‑frames as appropriate.
• Develop a complete understanding of the medical management procedures.
• Perform medical review assessment (MRA) on utilization of health services (e.g., healthcare plans, workers compensation products, etc.) in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner while ensuring compliance with utilization management regulations and adherence to state and federal mandates.
• Provide succinct negotiable points based on the submitted medical records that identify necessary medical treatment, casually related care, response or lack of response to treatment, etc.
• Identify missing records and information that are necessary for the completion of the medical review assessment.

Qualifications
