Designation: Engineer – Mechanical (Solar Project Site)
Location: Pan India

Job Role: The Engineer – Mechanical will assist in executing mechanical work at the solar project site, including installation of module mounting structures (MMS), trackers, and other mechanical components. The role involves supporting the Senior Engineer in monitoring work progress, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and coordinating with contractors and site teams for smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Mechanical Work Execution & Supervision

    • Assist in the installation of module mounting structures (MMS), solar panels, and mechanical components.
    • Monitor alignment, leveling, and bolting of structures as per design specifications.
    • Support the Senior Engineer in resolving mechanical issues on‑site.
  2. Material Handling & Verification

    • Check and verify mechanical materials received at the site against specifications.
    • Ensure proper handling and storage of mechanical components.
    • Track inventory levels and report shortages to the Senior Engineer.
  3. Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure mechanical installations comply with quality standards and project specifications.
    • Assist in conducting quality checks and preparing inspection reports.
    • Report any non‑conformities or defects to the Senior Engineer for corrective action.
  4. Safety & Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and mechanical work procedures.
    • Assist in identifying potential safety hazards and implementing preventive measures.
    • Conduct basic safety briefings for workers under supervision.
  5. Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain daily work records and progress reports for mechanical activities.
    • Assist in preparing reports on mechanical work completion and challenges faced.
    • Ensure proper documentation of test reports and quality checklists.
  6. Coordination & Communication

    • Work closely with contractors, engineers, and site teams to streamline mechanical work execution.
    • Coordinate with the Senior Engineer for task prioritization and issue resolution.
    • Ensure smooth communication between site teams and the corporate office regarding mechanical work updates.
Skills & Competencies
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with solar module mounting structures (MMS) and mechanical installation procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Good problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic project documentation.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in mechanical construction.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
  • Educational Requirement: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience Requirement: Fresher (0–1 year) – Internship experience in solar or mechanical construction projects will be a plus.
  • Travelling: Ready to travel if required for business purposes.
  • Language: English, Gujarati & Hindi would be preferable.
  • Preferred Candidate: Male candidates would be preferable. (AutoCAD, QA/QC in Mechanical, or Safety Training will be an advantage)
