Job summary

Emerson is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead development of high-performance butterfly valve technologies. You will serve as the domain expert for HPBV mechanics, guiding concepts from idea to validated production designs.

The role requires 10+ years in mechanical engineering, strong CAD skills, and experience with ASME/API/ISO standards. You will collaborate across design, testing, simulation, and manufacturing teams globally, delivering robust solutions and value.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience applying engineering fundamentals to develop new mechanical product concepts and designs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of pressure-retaining materials, coatings, wear mechanisms, machine design, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with modern manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing and advanced machining methods.
• Experience managing product development activities from customer requirements through prototype testing and production readiness.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
• Working knowledge of relevant international engineering and quality standards, including ASME, API, EN, ISO, and related valve standards.
• Experience with engineering validation methodologies including GD&T, DFMEA, QFD, DFM/A, engineering calculations, and design verification practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and collaborate globally across different time zones.
