Job summary

Khageshvara Aviation Technology Private Limited is building indigenous unmanned eVTOL and VTOL aircraft platforms for defence, logistics, disaster response, and future advanced air mobility applications. The role focuses on defining technical standards, engineering discipline, and the physical architecture for future teams, with hands-on prototyping and iterative flight data-driven work.

You will own the aircraft as a system—airframe, aerodynamics, mechanisms, and integration—while collaborating

Qualifications

  • Strong fundamentals in aerodynamics, flight mechanics, aircraft structures, mechanisms, and hands-on engineering judgement.
  • Fluency in CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Siemens NX, or equivalent platforms.
  • Working knowledge of analysis tools such as ANSYS, Nastran, Fluent, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or equivalent platforms for FEA and CFD.
  • Understanding of eVTOL and VTOL architectures, including lift+cruise, tilt-rotor, multirotor, and hybrid configurations, along with their design trade-offs.
  • Background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. B.Tech, M.Tech, or PhD preferred.
  • Prior hands-on exposure to eVTOLs, VTOLs, fixed-wing UAVs, multirotors, or aircraft prototyping is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design airframes and aero-structures from concept to flying hardware, with clear attention to weight, stiffness, manufacturability, serviceability, and safety margins.
  • Opportunity to Lead aerodynamic design and analysis across lifting surfaces, rotor and propeller integration, and hover-to-cruise transition behaviour for VTOL configurations.
  • Help build, validate, and refine FEA and CFD models, then correlate them with bench tests, wind-tunnel data where available, and actual flight data.
  • Design flight-critical mechanisms, including tilt systems, control surface actuation, landing gear, deployment systems, and related structural interfaces.
  • Manage weight and balance, CG envelope, structural margins, and vehicle-level trade-offs across the complete aircraft.
  • Work closely with composites, manufacturing, electronics, propulsion, and flight-test teams so engineering drawings translate into buildable, testable aircraft.

Job description

Khageshvara Aviation Technology Private Limited

  • Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan
  • Type: Full-time intern, on-site
  • Reporting: CEO
About the Company

Khageshvara Aviation Technology Private Limited is building indigenous unmanned eVTOL and VTOL aircraft platforms from India for defence, logistics, disaster response, and future advanced air mobility applications.

Our vision is to make sustainable aviation practical for high-payload, high-altitude, and mission-critical use cases where conventional mobility is slow, expensive, or unavailable.

We are working toward a future where aircraft can support medical logistics, defence mobility, emergency response, industrial operations, and eventually urban and regional air mobility. We are not assembling reference drones. We design, build, test, break, learn, and fly our own aircraft, with the goal of creating reliable Indian aviation systems that can scale from prototype to production.

About the Role

This is one of our crucial engineering hires. The person joining this role will help define the technical standards, engineering discipline, and physical architecture that future teams will build upon.

The work is hands‑on and execution-driven. It will involve rapid prototyping, shop‑floor problem solving, flight‑line testing, and constant iteration between design, analysis, manufacturing, and real flight data.

You will learn to own the aircraft as a physical system that has to fly: the airframe, aerodynamics, mechanisms, structural loads, vehicle integration, and practical buildability of the platform.

This role is best suited for someone who can operate in coordination with the team, aspires to lead from first principles, and is keen to take responsibility for turning concepts into reliable flying hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design airframes and aero‑structures from concept to flying hardware, with clear attention to weight, stiffness, manufacturability, serviceability, and safety margins.
  • Opportunity to Lead aerodynamic design and analysis across lifting surfaces, rotor and propeller integration, and hover‑to‑cruise transition behaviour for VTOL configurations.
  • Help build, validate, and refine FEA and CFD models, then correlate them with bench tests, wind‑tunnel data where available, and actual flight data.
  • Design flight‑critical mechanisms, including tilt systems, control surface actuation, landing gear, deployment systems, and related structural interfaces.
  • Manage weight and balance, CG envelope, structural margins, and vehicle‑level trade‑offs across the complete aircraft.
  • Work closely with composites, manufacturing, electronics, propulsion, and flight‑test teams so engineering drawings translate into buildable, testable aircraft.
Candidate Profile
  • Strong fundamentals in aerodynamics, flight mechanics, aircraft structures, mechanisms, and hands‑on engineering judgement.
  • Fluency in CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Siemens NX, or equivalent platforms.
  • Working knowledge of analysis tools such as ANSYS, Nastran, Fluent, Star‑CCM+, OpenFOAM, or equivalent platforms for FEA and CFD.
  • Understanding of eVTOL and VTOL architectures, including lift+cruise, tilt‑rotor, multirotor, and hybrid configurations, along with their design trade‑offs.
  • Background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. B.Tech, M.Tech, or PhD preferred.
  • Prior hands‑on exposure to eVTOLs, VTOLs, fixed‑wing UAVs, multirotors, or aircraft prototyping is strongly preferred.
Strong plus:

You have built and flown something real. A college UAV, racing drone, fixed‑wing aircraft, composite structure, tilt mechanism, or any aircraft project where your design choices had to survive testing will count strongly.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation aligned with the opportunity to experience an early senior engineering role, under the direct guidance of team experts.
  • Learn ownership of real flying hardware, not just drawings, presentations, or simulations.
  • Direct involvement in vehicle architecture, engineering decisions, flight testing, and long‑term product direction.
Who Can Apply

We prefer candidates with B.Tech, M.Tech, or PhD qualifications in a relevant discipline. However, a strong portfolio, practical engineering ability, and proven hands‑on work may outweigh formal credentials.
