Dover is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert (MSc. or PhD) for a globally remote contracting role (~15 hours per week). You will contribute to an AI training project, perform engineering design, simulation, and validation tasks in Python, and translate physical requirements into computational models.

Flexible scheduling and weekend work optional. The ideal candidate has strong mechanics knowledge, experience with analytical or simulation-based solutions, and practical proficiency with coding

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Expert to contribute to an AI training project involving engineering design, physical modeling, simulation, technical problem-solving, and Python.

The work involves creating, solving, reviewing, and validating engineering tasks across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics domains. A representative task may require translating physical requirements into a computational model, generating the required geometry or mesh, applying materials and boundary conditions, running an engineering simulation, and determining whether the resulting artifact and analysis satisfy the applicable physical and design constraints.

This is a very coding heavy role. Candidates must have experience using coding agents in their workflow.

What You’ll Work On:

• Solve and validate mechanical-engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, or R&D.

• Translate physical systems and engineering requirements into analytical or computational models.

• Create or modify geometry, meshes, materials, loads, contacts, constraints, and solver inputs.

Required Qualifications:

• An MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline; or

• Strong understanding of applied mechanics and mechanical-engineering fundamentals.

• Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based engineering solutions.

• Practical proficiency with coding agents.

Compensation Structure:

Compensation is output-based. Experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete each task may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply.

Start Timeline & Availability:

Typically, roles are filled within 48 hours and are looking for experts who are ready to begin immediately. If selected, you will be expected to start your first task within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
