Job summary

Augle AI, a Pune-based deep-tech startup, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, validate, and integrate mechanical systems for automated manufacturing solutions. You will collaborate with robotics and AI teams to develop reliable, manufacturable designs.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver production-ready drawings and BOMs in a fast-paced environment. Freshers to 3 years are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–3 years experience preferred; freshers with strong CAD/FEA skills are welcome.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and ability to create production-ready drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, welding, assembly), and tolerance design.
• Exposure to FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation, Ansys) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Employment Type: Full-time, On-Site

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings for fixtures, machine components, and assemblies using CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure part accuracy and manufacturability.
• Perform design validation and assist with Finite Element Analysis (FEA); interpret results and recommend design changes.
• Work with fabrication and vendor teams to validate manufacturability, support prototyping, and oversee part testing and assembly.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and version-controlled design documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during prototype and production stages; implement design improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with robotics, electronics, and software teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger automation solutions.
• Liaise with suppliers for quotations, lead times, and technical clarifications as required.

Role Overview:

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join our Pune team. The role involves mechanical design, prototyping, validation, and close collaboration with robotics and AI teams to build robust automation systems.
