Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or building services engineering.
• 3–5 years' experience in engineering consultancy firms.
• Experience in Middle East projects preferred.
• Proven record as a Design Engineer on commercial, high-rise residential, mixed-use, hotels or data centre projects.

Responsibilities

• HVAC design, including load calculations, system selection (Chilled Water, VRF/DX, Packaged Systems).
• Equipment sizing and selection, pressurization and smoke extraction design per local codes.
• Delivery through Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design and IFC design stages.
• Coordination with Architecture, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and other disciplines for integrated design.
• Prepare markups and review HVAC drawings and BIM models using AutoCAD and Navisworks/ACC.
• Apply design philosophy, codes (ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA) and QA for the team.
• Knowledge of CAD standards and 3D working within the company.

• Demonstrates strong technical expertise inHVAC engineering.
• Key Responsibilities:
• HVAC design, including load calculations,system selection (Chilled Water, VRF/DX, and Packaged Systems), equipmentsizing and selection, pressurization systems, smoke extraction design incompliance with local fire codes, and energy-efficient design solutions.
• Delivery of projects through all designstages, including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, andIFC
• Coordination with Architectural, Structural,Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and other disciplines to ensureintegrated design delivery.
• Prepare markups and review of HVAC drawingsand BIM models using AutoCAD and Navisworks/ACC.

• Demonstrates strong engineering analysis andproblem-solving skills
• Technical Software skills: HAP, IES VE is aplus, Bluebeam, AutoCAD basics, Navisworks, ACC.
• Should be responsible for Quality Management(QA) for their team.
• Have knowledge of the company’s delivery inCAD standards and 3D working.
