Job summary

Baker Hughes in Bengaluru is seeking a Gas Turbine Mechanical Design Engineer to support senior engineers in design and development of gas turbine products, solutions and systems.

You will perform analysis, design, testing, and integration tasks, document results in engineering records, and contribute to energy-transition initiatives while coordinating with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering with 3–5 years of experience in Gas Turbine Design.
• Experience with design/analysis tools such as NX, ANSYS Classic/Workbench.
• Familiar with GD&T and Bill of Material processes and supply chain concepts.

Responsibilities

• Execute analysis, design, test, or integration for gas turbine components and assemblies.
• Prepare and present technical assessment results to stakeholders.
• Document results in the eDRB and ensure proper data lineage.
• Participate in teams addressing energy transition and productivity initiatives.

Gas Turbine Mechanical Design Engineer Gas Turbine Mechanical Design Engineer Do you want to be a part Technology and Engineering Team ? Partner the Best As an Engineer - Gas Turbine, you will be responsible to support senior engineer for activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Also, you be supporting senior engineer on activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components which requires clear understanding of technical concepts and principles in the own part of the function.

As an Gas Turbine Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

• Executing, with guidance from senior engineer, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to support assigned components, assemblies for a Gas Turbine product that meet business standards and program / product requirements.
• Preparing and present technical assessment results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Documenting and communicate results of technical data generated in to the eDRB.
• Participating on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives in energy transition, Productivity improvement.
• Sharing engineering information and promote open dialogue.
• Preparing invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
• Assuring proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Have master’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of experience in Gas Turbine Design.
• Be familiar with design and analysis tools and systems such as: NX (Unigraphics), ANSYS Classic, ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Topology Optimization or similar.
• Have Understand the technical documentation, GD&T, its management process (e.g., Bill of Material) and Supply Chain Processes.
• Have Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, be fluent in English.
