Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Stibo STEP MDM Solution Architect in Bangalore to lead end-to-end MDM designs across product, customer and supplier domains. You will guide data modeling, governance, and integration patterns with STEP and enterprise systems, ensuring scalable architectures aligned with business goals.

Mentor teams, enforce best practices, and drive data quality and migration strategies while collaborating with stakeholders and QA to validate end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in data management, MDM, or enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years with MDM platforms; preference for Stibo STEP.
• 3–5+ years in architecture/technical lead roles.
• Knowledge of MuleSoft integration platforms.
• MDM concepts: data modeling, governance, hierarchies, data quality.
• Experience designing complex data models and multi-domain MDM.
• Strong REST API and event-driven integration experience (5+ years).
• SQL proficiency and data analysis skills.
• Experience in cloud or hybrid architectures (Azure/AWS).
• Strong Agile delivery and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end solution architecture for STEP implementations across domains.
• Lead data model design including entities, hierarchies, and attributes.

• Design data governance frameworks, workflows, and data quality rules.
• Provide technical leadership on STEP configurations: rules, workflows, and data structures.

• Oversee data migration strategies: cleansing, mapping, reconciliation.
• Guide environment strategy, deployment, and release management.

Day-to-Day Job Duties

As a Stibo STEP Solution Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-quality MDM solutions, ensuring alignment with business strategy, data governance, and enterprise architecture.

Daily / Weekly Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end solution architecture for Stibo STEP implementations across domains (Product, Customer, Supplier)
• Lead data model design including entities, hierarchies, classifications, attributes, and relationships
• Architect and govern integration patterns between STEP and enterprise systems (MDG, S4/Hana, etc.)
• Design data governance frameworks, including workflows, stewardship models, and data quality rules
• Provide technical leadership on STEP configurations, including business rules, event processors, and workflows
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable architecture designs
• Define and enforce best practices, standards, and design patterns for MDM implementation
• Review and approve technical designs, code, and configurations from development teams
• Oversee data migration strategies, including cleansing, mapping, and reconciliation
• Support integration architecture decisions (real-time vs batch, APIs, messaging/event-driven)
• Partner with QA and business teams to ensure end-to-end solution validation and quality
• Provide guidance on environment strategy, deployment, and release management
• Mentor developers, analysts, and QA team members on STEP capabilities and MDM best practices
• Participate in architecture governance forums and stakeholder reviews

Basic Qualifications

The following skills and experience are required:

• 8–12+ years of experience in data management, MDM, or enterprise application architecture
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with MDM platforms, with strong preference for Stibo STEP
• 3–5+ years in an architecture or technical lead role driving end‑to‑end solution design
• Knowledge of MuleSoft integration platforms
• Deep expertise in MDM concepts, including data modeling, governance, hierarchy management, and data quality frameworks
• Proven experience designing complex data models and multi‑domain MDM solutions
• Strong experience with integration architecture (REST APIs, event‑driven architecture, batch processing) – 5+ years
• Experience with STEP configuration, including:
• Business rules (JavaScript)
• Workflows and approvals
• Data structures and hierarchies
• Solid understanding of data integration and ETL processes – 5+ years
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
• Experience working within cloud or hybrid architectures (Azure, AWS, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery models and collaboration with cross‑functional teams
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

These additional capabilities enhance success in the role:

• Stibo STEP certifications or experience with multiple full lifecycle implementations
• Experience designing PIM and product syndication architectures (GDSN, eCommerce ecosystems)
• Exposure to microservices architecture and domain‑driven design (DDD)
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments
• Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks
• Background in data warehousing, analytics, or data lake architectures
• Domain expertise in Manufacturing, or Automotive
• Experience leading multi‑domain MDM deployments
