Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru is hiring a Finance Master Data Specialist. You will maintain and manage finance master data such as Chart of Accounts, Profit Centers, and Cost Centers within SAP S/4HANA, ensuring accuracy and consistency to support finance operations.

You will collaborate with R2R, P2P, P2D, and O2C teams, perform data quality audits, enforce data governance, and develop training materials. The role requires 0–1 year experience and a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce with 0 to 1 year of experience in Finance Master Data management.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, data governance, data quality controls, and privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA where applicable).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to work across shift timings and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Data Maintenance: Update finance master data records in the database as per ABB policy.
• Data Quality Assurance: Perform regular data audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of finance master data.
• Data Governance: Enforce ABB data governance policies and procedures for master data.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate finance master data across systems and platforms.
• Data Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and provide insights on finance master data metrics and trends.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to data quality and efficiency.
• Training and Documentation: Develop materials and train staff on master data processes.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with R2R, P2P, P2D, and O2C to ensure timely updates.

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

As a Finance Master data Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing fiancé master data (Chart of accounts, Profit Centers, Cost Centers) within the organization’s database systems. You will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of finance master data information to support various business functions and processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Data Maintenance: Update and maintain finance master data records (Chart of accounts, Profit Centers and Cost Centers) in the database as per ABB policy.
• Data Quality Assurance: Perform regular data audits and validations to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of finance master data. Identify and rectify any data discrepancies or errors.
• Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures related to fiancé master data laid down by ABB.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate finance master data across various systems and platforms, ensuring data consistency and synchronization.
• Data Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and provide insights on finance master data metrics, trends, and patterns to support decision‑making processes.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement related to fiancé master data management. Propose and implement solutions to enhance data quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and documentation related to fiancé master data management processes and best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams like R2R, P2P, P2D, and O2C to ensure accurate and timely finance master data updates and resolve any data‑related issues.

Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce with 0 to 1 year of experience in Finance Master Data management within SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality standards, and data privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Proficient in database management tools, master data maintenance, validation processes, and ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial data.
• Demonstrates strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and multitasking abilities, with flexibility to work across shift timings and independently manage multiple priorities.
