Responsibilities

  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations.
  • Provide emergency and first-line medical care when required.
  • Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.
  • Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
  • Educate patients and their families about diseases, medications, treatment, and preventive healthcare.
  • Follow established clinical protocols, hospital policies, and medical guidelines.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, specialists, technicians, and other healthcare staff.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, training programs, and continuing medical education.
  • Ensure proper infection-control and patient-safety practices.

Education

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council/authority
