Mastercard is seeking a talented and passionate entry-level Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team at our Pune office.

Job Title Software Engineer I – Full Stack – Java Backend & Angular/React

The Decision Product Enablement (DPE) enables intelligent decision-based products through real time and near real time streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility at global scale to support Cyber Intelligence and prevent Fraud. The Decision Administration team in DPE manages account range enrollments to Fraud Prevention Products.

As part of an exciting, fast paced environment developing digital identity and security solutions in the mobile and e-commerce space, this position will provide technical expertise within the development lifecycle for new products and services.

Job Description

• Hands‑on developer who writes high quality, secure code for a small to mid‑sized component or feature that is modular, functional, and testable.
• Contribute to all parts of the software’s development including design, development, documentation, and testing.
• Have strong ownership of your team’s software and are deep in the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties, and dependencies including hardware, operating system, and build.
• Communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a global environment.

All About You

• Overall 6 months to 1.5 years of career experience into Full Stack Development.
• Must possess good hands‑on Angular OR React experience.
• Strong Java Backend Skills required (Java, Springboot, Microservices).
• Database [Postgres, MSSQL] – well versed in writing efficient and optimized SQL queries.
• Ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge.
• Understanding of the product development lifecycle, maturity, and road‑mapping exercises.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey messages at different levels – detailed and high‑level management.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
