Network Engineer I

Job Overview:
Supports and provides input into the customer network engineering projects, implementation coordination and support of large multi-site, multi-vendor MPLS network communication environments.

Role:

1. Manage and implement customer network projects.
2. Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing customer network, in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies, and growth.
3. Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
4. Participate in telecommunications-related initiatives.
5. Research and develop innovative solutions around unified network solutions.
6. Support assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning, time and cost control, resource utilization, and implementation.

All About You:

1. Experience in network routing and switching.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Hands-on experience with various network technologies including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, and security technologies.
4. Understanding of project management methodology and best practices.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Self-starter with demonstrated listening skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
