Job summary

Airbound Inc. is seeking a skilled communications professional to own content, communications, events, and employer branding.

You’ll translate complex engineering work into compelling stories and work directly with the Marketing Lead to execute across formats including press materials, blogs, and internal announcements. You’ll manage external partners, own Airbound’s social presence, and shape the narrative for the company’s growth.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years in a communications or content role.

About Airbound

Our mission is to make a world where everyone has access to delivery. Where goods move as freely as information moves today.

This is possible. Today the cost of moving on a scooter is ₹2/km. That’s the cost of moving a 150kg mass from point A to B. We’re bringing that mass down to less than 5kgs, concurrently bringing the cost down to 10 paise/km. This is how we make deliveries a reality. This is how we create a world where we’re doing billions of deliveries per day.

The tech is not there. The current cost of drone delivery is ₹100/km. We need to completely redefine the way things are done here. We’re building the world’s most efficient aircraft from the ground-up, and scaling that up to beyond anything the aerospace sector has ever seen. This cannot be an iterative process. We have to tear down all conventions and build everything up from scratch.

To do this, we need nothing less than the best engineers. The ones who care about building something fundamentally different, who are deeply curious about understanding the fundamentals of everything they’re working on, who are dreamers that believe in the impossible.

About the Role

We are building something that hasn't existed before. This role owns how we communicate that to the world. You'll work directly with the Marketing Lead and own execution across content, communications, events, and employer brand. You're a generalist with a writing instinct. You know how to take something technical and make it legible without dumbing it down.

Key Responsibilities

• Content and writing: Write across formats. Press materials, case studies, blog posts, social copy, job descriptions, internal announcements, partner communications, website copy. Turn company results into stories. Work with the team to gather facts, shape the narrative, and get it placed. This is a core part of the job.

• Media and PR support: Support the team on press strategy & managing the day to day functions of the PR agency.

• Social and owned channels: Own Airbound's LinkedIn and any other active channels. Not chasing engagement. Building a credible, active presence.

• Employer brand: You know what's happening inside the company and make it visible to people outside it.

• Agency management: Brief and manage external partners including photographers, videographers, and agency partners. Own the relationship, the brief, and the output.

• Events and activations: Handle logistics and execution for industry events, partner meetings, and internal milestones. You manage the details so senior team members can focus on the relationships.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 5 to 8 years in a communications or content role.

• Strong writing ability — you write well and quickly.

• Ability to talk to an engineer, understand what they built, and turn it into something a non-engineer finds compelling.

• Comfort managing your own output with minimal hand-holding, and staying sharp when things move fast and the brief isn't fully formed.

Good to Have

• Experience inside a startup, hardware company, or technical environment.

• Experience in B2B, deep tech, aerospace, or logistics.

Who You Are

• You're a strong generalist with a writing instinct.

• You take pride in clear, compelling storytelling.

What this isn’t

• Performance marketing. No paid media, no SEO dashboards, no funnel management. The job is story, content, and execution.
