Job summary

ASM Technologies Limited in Bangalore seeks an OMS ME Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturing documentation from drafts to volume production. You will use UG-NX, Teamcenter, Windchill and SAP among other CAD tools to resolve design changes and ensure timely OMS/iOMS updates across NPI and high-volume programs.

Role requires deep manufacturing engineering knowledge, strong problem solving, and ability to coordinate with ME, Quality and Tooling teams to meet SLA metrics and deliver reliable

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering, theories, practices and principles.
  • Strong skills in product technology, change management and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication, customer orientation and teamwork abilities.
  • Working knowledge of CAD tools like UG-NX and Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with NPME, Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians and Quality teams to develop optimal operation sequences.
  • Identify areas for product improvements and coordinate changes with engineering functions.
  • Prioritize OMS/manufacturing documentation improvements with operations management.
  • Recommend tooling and process requirements and drive issue resolution with root-cause analysis.
  • Update and monitor OMS/iOMS mappings per build schedule and SLA adherence.

Job description

Operation Method Sheet (OMS) project

The OMS (ME) - Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing documentation, taking them from initial drafts to volume manufacturing ioms.

The OMS ME uses modeling and drafting software routinely in the course of their role, principally UG NX for SPG, Creo for Display and Auodesk Inventor for Varian. They also use Team center to access designs/models.

Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the ability to engage with manufacturing floor to resolve issues is added advantage for the OMS ME role.

OMS (ME) - Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible

  • Initiating, creating, submitting, reviewing, implementing and monitoring OMSs/iOMS’s collaborating with NPME, ME, Quality, Technicians, Industrial Engineering, Tooling, MLO, DE owners & Stakeholders adhering to SLA Metrics
  • Use PDM/CAD/Authoring Tools such as Teamcenter,Windchill,SAP,iOMS,Coreplus and 2D/3D packages like autocad, solidworks, NX, E3S, Inventor, Creo, Creo illustrate, Visio,Excel and various other sharepoint sites
  • Must understand, resolve, implement the manufacturing & customer issues like design improvement, new design release, cost reduction, DFx, Design corrections, BOM changes, partnering with NPME/ME/DE’s
Scope of Work
Deliverables and Expectations (NPI/HVM/CM/SS OMS ME)
  • Create New OMS and update existing OMS with minimal supervision

NPI (New Product documentation)

OMS Excellence (High Volume Manufacturing Documentation)

CM OMS (Documentation for Contract Manufacturers & Outsourced Modules)

SmartStart (Documentation for Field)

SmartStart (Suataining Test Engg)

  • Address QN/Build Issues by updating OMS’s and develop RCCA
  • Identify and Log Virtual Issues in PIVOT database
  • Upload OMS’s to iOMS per product/op structure
  • Performing iOMS mapping for slots/modules per build schedule
  • Update iOMS and monitor for changes (Mapping % for Each Module)
  • Adhere to the set expectations per SLA
Responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with NPME, Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians and Quality teams to develop optimal operation sequences for parts and assemblies.
  • Identifies key areas for product improvements and coordinates with other engineering functions to implement changes.
  • Work closely with manufacturing operations management to prioritize areas for OMS/manufacturing documentation improvements.
  • Makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
  • Champions issue resolution. Determines root cause analysis for issues that arise during assembly and/or test of systems; provides Long term corrective action.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works.
Job Specific Knowledge:
  • Manufacturing and assembly techniques, bill of materials, product/personel safety requirements, material handling, and trouble shooting.
  • Requires demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering discipline, theories, practices and principles.
  • Requires knowledge necessary to perform the job function such as an understanding of the engineering change order process, product development process, value engineering etc
  • Requires strong skills in Product technology, change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, personal effectiveness, team skills, and quality.
  • Working knowledge of CAD tools (UG-NX & Team center)
  • Requires additional knowledge of systems and software necessary such as MS Visio, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
