Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Manual Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The candidate will be responsible for testing web, mobile, and desktop applications, identifying defects, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with developers and business teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Verify bug fixes and perform retesting activities.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress to the team.
- Ensure software applications meet quality standards and user expectations.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of testing concepts such as functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of test case design techniques.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts.
- Experience in mobile or web application testing.
- ISTQB Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Freshers with relevant training/projects in Software Testing can also apply.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in Manual Testing.
- Freshers with internship or project experience in testing are encouraged to apply.
