Jobtailor in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Compliance Consultant to lead end-to-end engagements across EHS regulatory frameworks, from diagnostics to remediation planning and post-implementation review.

You will advise clients on permitting, audit readiness, and governance improvements, manage multi-workstream projects, mentor analysts, and help build scalable compliance platforms and dashboards.

Qualifications

Typically 10–15+ years of relevant experience in consulting, operational compliance, regulatory compliance, environmental management, or related advisory role.
Experience in operational compliance, EHS, or sustainability consulting.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational requirements across air, water, waste, chemicals, reporting, due diligence, impact assessment, and remediation.
Ability to lead workstreams, proposals, and end-to-end projects while managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and small teams.
Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs with a QA/QC mindset.
Experience working with global teams, diverse industries, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Leadership skills and executive presence.
Strong analytical skills to translate regulatory complexity into structured, actionable solutions.
Professional certifications or training such as CEP, QEP, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or equivalent preferred.
Preferred: experience in global delivery setups or large consulting environments, commercial acumen, and comfort managing ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end compliance engagements, including diagnostics, gap assessments, remediation planning, implementation support, and post-implementation review.

Translate regulatory requirements into practical policies, procedures, and governance improvements.
Manage multiple concurrent workstreams or projects while maintaining quality, budget, and timeline commitments.
Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders, regulators, and cross-functional teams.
Lead environmental permitting, air compliance, and broader operational compliance programs across EHS domains.
Interpret and apply North American, EMEA, US-anchored, and international EHS regulatory frameworks.
Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, quality, and multidisciplinary workstreams.
Provide QA/QC review of technical deliverables and drive continuous improvement through SOPs, templates, and best practices.
Implement and support compliance platforms and digital tools; develop dashboards, compliance trackers, and reporting frameworks.
Build trusted client relationships, present deliverables, support proposals, and contribute to service-line growth.
Lead, mentor, and develop consultants and analysts through project delivery, onboarding, learning initiatives, and capability development.
Promote ERM’s health and safety, DE&I, collaboration, and sustainable client outcomes commitments.

Requirements
