Job summary

Ampersand International Mobility is seeking a capable Training Centre Operations Lead to manage the rollout and daily functioning of multiple language training centres. You will drive centre setup, coordinate with vendors, and ensure classrooms and IT infrastructure are ready for each batch.

You will oversee inventory, administration, attendance, reporting, and compliance; develop SOPs and dashboards; travel as needed and collaborate with HR, Academic teams, and external partners to maintain

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations, Education, or related field.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Training Operations or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup of new language training centres across locations.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, landlords, and partners during centre setup.
  • Ensure classrooms, training infrastructure, furniture, IT equipment, and learning resources are ready before launch.
  • Standardize centre setup processes and checklists.
  • Travel to centres for setup, audits, and reviews.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all centres.
  • Coordinate training schedules with Academic and Training teams.
  • Maintain batch calendars and attendance records.
  • Manage learning material inventory and procurement.
  • Maintain asset registers and facility readiness.
  • Track attendance and generate reports for management.
  • Coordinate vendor deliveries and procurement docs.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for operations.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly operational MIS dashboards.

Job description

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
1. Training Centre Setup & Expansion
  • Lead the operational setup of new Language Training Centres across locations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, landlords, and facility partners during centre setup.
  • Ensure classrooms, training infrastructure, furniture, IT equipment, and learning resources are operational before launch.
  • Standardize centre setup processes and operational checklists.
  • Travel to new and existing centres for setup, audits, and operational reviews.
2. Training Operations Management
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of all language training centres.
  • Coordinate training schedules with the Academic and Training teams.
  • Ensure classrooms are prepared prior to every batch.
  • Maintain operational readiness across all centres.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues impacting training delivery.
3. Training Support & Documentation
  • Maintain complete documentation for every training batch.
  • Prepare and maintain attendance registers, batch files, trainee records, assessments, certifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure proper documentation of trainer allocation, classroom schedules, and training calendars.
  • Support audits by maintaining accurate operational records.
4. Learning Material Inventory Management
  • Maintain inventory of books, language learning material, training kits, stationery, and classroom resources.
  • Manage stock issuance and returns.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely procurement.
  • Ensure proper tracking and reconciliation of all learning materials
5. Administration, Infrastructure & Facility Management
  • Ensure classrooms and training centres are clean, functional, and professionally maintained.
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, housekeeping, security, internet, power backup, and vendor services.
  • Monitor facility readiness before commencement of every training batch.
  • Maintain asset registers and equipment inventories.
6. Attendance & Batch Administration
  • Track candidate attendance on a daily basis.
  • Monitor trainer attendance and classroom utilization.
  • Generate attendance reports and share dashboards with management.
  • Coordinate with HR and Academic teams for attendance-related issues.
7. Vendor & Procurement Coordination
  • Coordinate with vendors for classroom infrastructure, stationery, IT equipment, printing, learning material, and facility requirements.
  • Track vendor deliveries and service quality.
  • Maintain procurement documentation and invoices.
8. Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for training centre operations.
  • Ensure operational compliance across all training locations.
  • Conduct periodic operational audits and recommend improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost optimization, and learner experience.
9. Reporting & MIS
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports.
  • Track centre utilization, inventory status, attendance, operational expenses, and infrastructure readiness.
  • Present operational dashboards to senior leadership
Key Requirements:
Experience & Background
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Education, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • 812 years of experience in Training Operations, Centre Operations, Education Administration, Learning & Development Operations, or Skilling Operations.
  • Experience in setting up new training centres or educational facilities will be highly preferred.
  • Preferred Industry Experience - Language Training Institutes, Educational Institutions, Universities, EdTech, Skill Development Organizations, Corporate Learning & Development, Vocational Training Centres, International Education & Mobility
