Job summary

Litmos Limited is seeking a Technical Owner to lead our AI-focused team. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on software contribution, spending at least 50% of time coding and shaping architecture for our AI initiatives.

The ideal candidate has substantial experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), full-stack development, and cloud platforms. You will mentor engineers, drive delivery, and collaborate with product, UX/UI, QA, and other stakeholders to advance Litmos' AI-powered

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional experience in software development.
• Experience leading software engineering teams.
• Experience with AI technologies including LLMs.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-6 engineers (mixed roles) to deliver scalable software.
• Ensure production-grade, testable software delivery.
• Guide architecture and scalable design through iterative feedback.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and QA to design solutions and implement features.
• Write clean, maintainable code; conduct reviews and mentor others.
• Implement robust testing strategies and automation where appropriate.
• Stay updated on emerging tech and improve processes, tools, and practices.
• Create and maintain documentation for the content authoring tool and APIs.

We are looking for a Technical Owner to lead our Artificial Intelligence (AI) focused team. The ideal candidate has commercial experience with Large Language Modules (LLMs). Although this is a manager role, the expectation is that this individual will be spending at least 50% of their time directly contributing to the software.

AI is an important driver for the future of Litmos as we continue to work on our recently launched AI Assistant and begin to focus on applying AI in other areas of our system.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Manage a team of 3 - 6 individuals with mixed roles including software engineers and quality assurance
• Delivery: Ensure your team is creating performant, testable, and well-thought-out software for our production environment.
• Architecture: Guide the team as you use your experience and feedback to iterate through designing scalable solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and QA, to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Conduct code reviews and mentor other engineers to uphold high coding standards.
• Testing: Implement and maintain robust testing strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of the content authoring tool. Utilize automated testing frameworks where appropriate.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Propose and implement improvements to the development process, tools, and practices.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the content authoring tool, including design specifications, API documentation, and user guides.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

• At least 8 years of professional experience in software development,

• Technical Skills:

• Full-stack development using C#and JavaScript frameworks such as React.

• In-depth understanding of AI technology, including LLMs

• Understanding of SQL and SQL Server. Postgres, CosmosDB are also preferable.

• Alternative datastores/technologies such as OpenSearch, Redis, and Memcached.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

• Soft Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to manage software engineering teams.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior team members.

• Demonstrated leadership and management skills

Salary Range

₹50,00,000 to ₹60,00,000 plus 15% bonus
