Job summary

Charles Schwab is expanding its Hyderabad team to drive development on the Microsoft stack, including .NET and C#, with exposure to the financial industry. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, automation, and high-quality software in a global Fortune 500 environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in AI-augmented workflows, focus on scalable enterprise systems, and contribute to post-deployment support, all while growing your expertise in modern software practices.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of development using a Microsoft technology stack, including .NET and C# with exposure to financial industry
• 2+ years of experience with containerized platform such as PCF
• 3+ years of experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming concepts, algorithms and data structures; experience writing unit/integration tests
• Experience with scripting languages and storage/retrieval techniques
• Exposure to GitHub, Jira, Rally
• Hands-on AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and SDLC
• Understanding Generative AI concepts and applying them responsibly in engineering workflows
• Ability to collaborate in AI-augmented development environments with strong engineering judgment
• Experience applying automation and AI-driven approaches to improve systems/workflows
• Commitment to continuous learning of AI capabilities and tooling
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and knowledge of AI-based automation
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale software; post-deployment support and remediation
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software using Microsoft tech stack in a finance context.
• Collaborate with AI-augmented development teams and apply AI tooling in SDLC.
• Lead design and implementation of complex enterprise systems.
• Provide post-deployment support and remediation for critical production issues.
• Promote automation and AI-driven improvements across platforms.

What you have

Required Skills :-

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of development using a Microsoft technology stack, including .NET and C# with exposure to financial industry
• 2+ years of experience with containerized platform such as Pivotal Cloud foundry (PCF)
• 3+ years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming concepts, including algorithms and data structures. Strong experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience with scripting languages and efficient storage and retrieval techniques
• Exposure in Tools such as GitHub, Jira, Rally.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or equivalent) to improve productivity, code quality, and development efficiency within the SDLC.
• Practical understanding of Generative AI concepts and how to apply them responsibly in day-to-day engineering workflows, including code generation, refactoring, documentation, and test support.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in AI-augmented development environments, leveraging AI tools while maintaining strong engineering judgment, code reviews, and quality standards.
• Experience applying automation and AI-driven approaches to improve existing systems, workflows, or operational processes.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging AI capabilities, tooling, and industry best practices relevant to software development and system modernization.
• Experience with Messaging technologies such as kafka/MQSome exposure/knowledge of AI & AI based automation (exposure to GitHub Copilot preferred along with some Python skills)
• Proven track record of delivering on the design & development of complex, enterprise-level software systems and in providing exemplary support post-deployment/Production Support & Remediation.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

Preferred Skills :-

• Experience as a developer on an agile scrum team is a plus.
