They are a globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and for solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors. Roles and Responsibilities

Lead the Service business of the Company which includes but not limited to business development in the following:

  • Revamping and upgradation of equipment
  • Servicing old equipment
  • O&M business
  • Spares and lifecycle market

In order to achieve this, it will be necessary to take care of the following activities:

  • Intracompany coordination (coordination with Product Experts, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality Assurance team as well as the Commercial Team)
  • Intercompany coordination (coordination of Group companies and Product Home as and when required)
  • Responsible for marketing as well as expediting and execution of the product.
  • The incumbent should be single point responsible for the specific account head but needs to coordinate with the product experts and other teams.
  • Responsible for the supplier Quality Control and Management (with the support of the Product experts and Quality engineering).

Major Duties

  • Development of new market and improve the already established market
  • Periodic visit to old and probable new customers as per the plan to be worked out
  • Identify new technical / commercial requirements and take up the matter with Local / Overseas experts on the product.
  • Identify possible changes in the market and provide feedback on the same.

Other Functions

  • Project kick-off meetings
  • Supplier manufacture kick-off meeting as and if required
  • Internal audit meetings
  • Quality internal meetings
  • Metals internal meetings

Key Performance Indicator

  • Generation of quantum of business
  • Generation of new kind of business
  • Expanding the client base
  • Ensuring the Quality in the business
  • Ensuring and improvement of Gross Margin

Education and Experience:

Graduate / Diplomain Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical) with 15 to 20 years’ experience of which at least 5 to 8 years should be in Processing plants / Furnaces, etc.

  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Client focus
  • Excellent PR with client and also within the company
  • Known to clients
  • Rich experience on Processing equipment and Furnaces (CGL, CPL, PPL, Color Coating lines, Cut To Length line, Cold Rolling Mills, Reheating and Heat treatment / Forging furnaces, combustion system, etc.)
  • Be familiar with mechanical design
  • Good logical thinking ability
  • Familiar with MS Office
  • Good communication and coordination skills with suppliers and customers
  • Good experience in supplier workshop management and production management
  • Good team management and improvement experience
