Job summary

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP invites a seasoned SAP ABAP professional to Chennai to contribute to high-impact projects for the DSA Metals, Mining and Industrial sector. You will design, develop, and optimize ABAP solutions across SAP HANA, CDS views, AMDP, and OData services, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Required are 7–10 years of SAP ABAP experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree (Science or Engineering) from premier institutes.
• 7–10 years of strong SAP ABAP development experience.
• Hands-on expertise in OOABAP.
• ABAP on SAP HANA.
• CDS Views.
• AMDP.
• OData Services (Gateway).
• Enhancements (BAdIs, User Exits, Enh. Framework).
• BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, APIs, and Web Services.
• SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts.
• Performance optimization and SQL tuning on SAP HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP development standards, transport management, and SDLC.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel for short and long term durations.

Responsibilities

• Make immediate, direct contributions to enhancing clients' competitive position and performance.
• Lead and mentor teams to deliver SAP ABAP solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with client needs.
• Follow SAP development standards, maintain transport processes, and SDLC discipline.
