About the Role
As TRYST scales up, we are looking for an experienced Rewards, Performance & Analytics Manager to design, implement, and manage compensation structures, benefits programs, and reward frameworks across a diverse workforce — spanning researchers, technology transfer specialists, business development staff, and corporate functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in pay strategy, market benchmarking, and benefits administration, including familiarity with startup/deep-tech compensation practices, ensuring TRYST remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage the overall compensation structure, including salary bands, pay grades, and incentive/bonus programs.
- Conduct regular market benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure competitive positioning.
- Develop, implement, and administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, etc.).
- Partner with leadership and HR teams to design performance-linked pay and variable compensation plans.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits (labor laws, tax regulations, etc.).
- Analyze compensation data and trends to provide recommendations on pay equity, budget planning, and cost optimization.
- Manage annual compensation review cycles, including salary increments, promotions, and bonus payouts.
- Lead job evaluation and grading exercises to maintain internal equity across roles, including differentiated pay structures for research/scientific staff, technology transfer roles, and corporate/business functions.
- Design and administer equity/ESOP frameworks where applicable, in line with startup and early-stage company norms.
- Collaborate with finance and leadership teams on budgeting for compensation and benefits costs.
- Manage relationships with external vendors (insurance providers, benefits administrators, compensation consultants).
Qualifications
- MBA — HR or related specialization preferred.
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, or HR Generalist roles with a strong C&B focus.
- Proven experience in designing and managing compensation structures and benefits programs.
- Strong analytical skills with hands‑on experience in compensation benchmarking tools/surveys.
- Sound knowledge of statutory compliance related to payroll, benefits, and labor laws.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel/data analysis; familiarity with HRIS and compensation management systems.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High degree of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with large-scale events or fast-paced project environments.
- Certification in Compensation & Benefits (e.g., CCP, GRP) is a plus.
- Experience with global/market benchmarking platforms.
