We are seeking a Manager, Revenue Accounting based in Bangalore to join our dynamic Revenue Accounting team. Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
- Lead month-end and quarter-end revenue close activities, including review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, roll-forwards, and flux analyses
- Manage, coach, and develop staff, setting clear priorities, reviewing work, and raising the bar on execution and professionalism
- Own key revenue sub-ledger activities in revenue subledger, including contract combinations, holds review, FOB and acceptance releases, and periodic SSP updates
- Review customer contracts and non-standard deal terms in partnership with Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and company policy
- Own revenue-related SOX controls — ensuring controls are executed on time, evidence is audit-ready, and deficiencies are identified and remediated quickly
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors on revenue PBCs, walkthroughs, and testing, and support quarterly reviews and year-end audits
- Drive process improvement and automation across the revenue close to scale processes, reduce manual effort, and leverage AI where appropriate
- Partner cross-functionally with finance and accounting teams to support forecasting, variance commentary, clearance, and quarter-end reporting
Be Prepared — What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Financefinance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting, and/or audit; Big Four and industry experience in software or SaaS companies preferred
- Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 340‑40; IFRS 15 experience accepted
- Hands‑on experience with subscription/SaaS and multi‑element revenue arrangements, including variable consideration and term‑based or usage‑based contracts
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, Sales, and other stakeholders to proactively identify accounting issues, research applicable U.S. GAAP and Big Four guidance, and document well‑supported accounting conclusions
- Experience evaluating the accounting implications of new products and complex transactions, including preparing technical analyses and advising on implementation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical accounting matters to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Demonstrated initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements, including leveraging automation and AI tools within finance or operations
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing one or more team members in an accounting, revenue, or audit environment
- Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and self‑directed, with strong ownership of multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
- Experience with revenue recognition systems and enterprise tools (e.g., RevPro, Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, Tableau)
Be Successful — Your Path
First 90 Days: Gain a strong understanding of Infoblox’s business model, products, revenue streams, and contracts. Build relationships with key stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Product, and align with the Director of Revenue Accounting on short‑ and long‑term priorities.
Six Months: Develop deep ownership of monthly and quarter-end revenue close activities, including leading the team through close execution, review, and issue resolution. Begin driving process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance scalability, accuracy, and efficiency across the revenue close.
One Year: Operate as a trusted strategic partner to the business, advancing automation and scalability initiatives, and influencing cross functional alignment and change.
