Job summary

An industrial machinery manufacturer in Coimbatore is seeking a Mid-Senior level quality assurance professional for full-time employment. • Ensure quality and certification requirements of all incoming materials and sub‑contracted components.
• Organise and carry out sample inspections of casting and forging for new development items.
• Conduct mechanical tests and obtain certification to meet PED requirements for CE‑marked valves.
• Plan and organise yearly SQIP audit plan and perform audits as per plan.
• Carry out internal audits on QMS, EMS, and OHSAS per audit schedule.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality assurance activities related to inward inspection of casting, forging, and sub‑cased machined items including bought out components, gearboxes, and actuators.
• Ensure quality and certification requirements of all incoming materials and sub‑contracted components, and prepare inspection reports.
• Organise and carry out sample inspections of casting and forging for new development items.
• Arrange notified body witnessing of forging and test bars, organise machining, conduct mechanical tests, and obtain .3.2 certification to meet PED requirements for CE‑marked valves.
• Organise TPI for machining component inspections and clear items based on TPI reports daily.
• Plan and organise yearly SQIP audit plan; circulate to all buyers and perform audits as per plan, report submission, and obtain CAPA from suppliers.
• Collect and send monthly rework and rejection data for casting and forging to concerned parties.
• Carry out internal audits on QMS, EMS, OHSAS per audit schedule; report findings to auditee and MRR.
• Manage monthly rework and rejection data related to supplier issues, inform concerned buyer and supplier, obtain corrective action, and ensure implementation.
• Serve as team lead for SAP implementation and resolve SAP‑related issues; monitor SAP usage.
• Prepare QIP for inward inspection of casting and forgings, and inspection of machining items.
• Collect and ensure all documents are received in the MTC portal and stored in a common folder for retrieval by the final inspection team to prepare the quality dossier for valve dispatch.
• Keep QM views updated after release of new item codes.
