Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Tech Lead/Architect (M) specializing in Python and Data Science to drive data-driven solutions and lead a team of engineers and scientists. You will architect scalable software, oversee delivery, and optimize ML workflows across projects.

You will work with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, integrated solutions while mentoring peers and upholding Cognizant’s values. Hybrid work model with offices in Bangalore/Chennai.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in application design and engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and data science libraries including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
• Expertise in data preprocessing, feature engineering, data wrangling, and model optimization.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Proficiency in CI/CD implementation using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• M.Sc., M.Tech., or B.Tech. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience in a similar leadership role within the industry.
• A strong sense of ownership, desire to create meaningful outcomes, and passion for impactful work.

As a Tech Lead/Architect (M) – Python and Data Science Tech Stack, you will drive impactful contributions and focus on delivering data-driven solutions that create business value. You will be a key member of the engineering and data science organization, collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional partners.
