Job summary

Siemens AG in India, Goa, is seeking a Protection & Automation Engineer to lead engineering, testing, commissioning, and customer-facing activities for protection and automation systems. You will perform protection relay calculations, prepare drawings, and support tendering and vendor development.

Responsibilities include testing and commissioning of protection relays, FAT/SAT, and ensuring compliance with standards. Travel to customer sites is expected as part of project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 10-15 years experience in testing commissioning field.
• Practical knowledge of power-system protection, numerical protection relays, control systems, and substation automation is preferred.

The Protection & Automation Engineer will be responsible for engineering, testing, commissioning, application support, compliance, and customer-facing activities related to protection and automation systems. The role includes protection relay setting calculations, engineering drawing preparation and review, relay retrofitting, FAT/SAT, type testing, compliance assessment, customer training, tender support, and channel partner/vendor development.

Qualification

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Experience :

10-15 Years experience in testing commissioning field.

Practical knowledge of power-system protection, numerical protection relays, control systems, and substation automation is preferred

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good understanding of protection and automation applications
• Customer-oriented approach
• Ability to work independently at project and customer sites
• Effective technical communication and presentation skills
• Strong documentation and reporting capabilitiesAbility to coordinate with Engineering, R&D, Quality, Sales, Projects, customers, laboratories, vendors, and channel partners
• Willingness to travel for customer/project site activities
